Radiator fan - ON/OFf

I noticed a little sticker near the radiator fan that said something to the effect where the fan may automatically come on when ignition is ON. My question is.. does the radiator fan not come on even if the coolant is hot. The reason I ask is a lot of cars, have the radiator fan still running even when ignition is off to cool down the engine.

What your observation? Does your radiator fan turn on or continue running even if ignition is OFF?

The fan comes on when it's needed. It's usually when the car is not moving for a period of time. More importantly, it only comes on when the temperature warrants it.

When the car is moving, air is already moving through the radiator so the fans don't need to be on.

The fans shouldn't stay on in toyotas, it's usually seein Hondas where the fan stays on even after the engine is turned off.
