3rd Generation 3VZ-FE computer that adjusts???

Have any 3vz-fe owners noticed that the computers tends to adjust to the way they drive?

For example:

If I plod around the car seems "relaxed" with slow throttle response etc. But if I get stuck into it and do say 3 WOT starts and rev it out, it changes and becomes very responsive, seemingly quicker and more aggressive gear changes.

Is the computer configured to adjust a/f ratio or similar according to the way you drive?

not too sure about hte 3vz, because it's obd1.....but it might

but then again, it wouldn't adjust that fast anyway- it usually takes at least a couple of days

Most likely it would be from the crap that gets blown away inside the engine. Carbon build-ups, accumulation, etc... gets loosened whenever you go WOT, so the engine actually cleans itself quite a bit when you floor it. So each time you go WOT several times, the engine would feel more responsive after it cleans itself. This is also why it is recommended to drive the car on the highway or do some spirited driving every now and then to prevent carbon build-ups especially if the car sees local traffic most of the time.
