i have a bit of a problem with my 1994 5sfe camry...
when i turn the car on, the rpm's / rev's would bounce up and down between 800-1000 rpm's constantly for about 1 min or so, but then after that it goes away
but then when i'm still in park (the engine is warmed up all the way) i would rev up the car a bit to about 2000rpm or anything higher than the idle, and then the rev's would then again bounce up and down between 800-1000rpm, then it goes away later....
what could be the problem???
p.s i pulled off the spark plugs and found them all to be black at the tips, but then my dad tried to clean them up and still used them to start up the car (will be changing the spark plugs tmmrw if thats gonna help) also then my dad pulled the IAC valve off and cleaned it...but the problem still occurs... did a compression check as well, all cylinders are still good
oh yea i should also note this started to happen yesterday beginning with this story....i was driving a canyon road going uphill using 2nd gear and all of a sudden, the car felt like it wasnt going anywhere like it lost power...but then after that happened, a couple of secs later it went back to normal, but then after this occured, the tranny feels like its shifting werid now or is delayed...so i drive down to a gas station to park my car, and thats where i started to notice that the rpm's are bouncing up and down constantly...
