I did but it was a pain. The tab that screws onto the body got disfigured, I had to heat it back w/ a lighter and bend it back in place, then put it in water to cool it down so it wouldn't disfigure again. I wanna do it right now on my gen3 cam, but am afraid given my previous successful, but not pretty attempt. Ask 2wickedtoys about it, i go advice from him.

In the oven for 15 minutes? No wonder it melted. Even when I did my hid projector retro with the oem headlights, I did 250 for 5 minutes.

I suggest you try the even method again. Preheat to 200, shut off the oven, put in the parking lamps for 5 mins max, take out and try to pry it apart, while you are preheating the even to 200 again. If it doesn't come apart, pop it in the oven again for 5. It takes 2 or 3 times to get it apart for headlights.

If you are careful enough when putting it in the even, nothing will melt.
