This experience just made me a lifetime Toyota buyer.
Well the story starts when I first got my car, 95' Camry LE 4cyl at the beginning of 2005. I was 15 then, so I couldnt drive it alone. So I practiced every chance I got untill I went to take my license test, which I passed with a 90 =). Anyways, that was in January when i got my license. Since first getting the car, my dad wrecked his truck, was rear ended by a Yukon going over the train tracks. So he needed a car to drive untill he got a truck. Well he of course took my car -_-. Put 3-4K miles on it at jobsites in construction, trust me I was pissed everyday he came home with it having new scratches, etc.. Then my stepmom decided to drive it letting my dad use her truck to save some wear n tear.. HAH Finally, I got the car in my name as the sole owner when I got a job, and basically took it from them.
I then asked them if they ever got it serviced... they said oh yeah... all the time. [I was foolish enough to believe them]
Now this summer , I am up working on my Aunt's horse farm for some $$. We got talking about my car, and decided to take it to a very good mechanic she knows, who has done her work for years.
Damge is: BROKEN front axle, which severely has missaligned all 4 tires. Brakes shot to hell, along with desperately needing fluid changes. There is more, but I dont know the tech details of it all =p
All I can say is this: Thank You! Toyota for making a realiable car. I knew something was wrong, but nowhere near this bad. This car drive me 3-4hrs up here through mountain roads all the way not complaining at all, and kept em safe. THANK YOU Toyota for making your cars so reliable for their drivers.
Next car... Toyota...

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda

aaaaaaaaa little boy do you think you will actually pay for your next Toyota or will mommy and daddy buy it for you
A good car is a good car, no matter how you manage to come by it. Mine was a gift from my grandmother (used) and has lasted me just fine, and I anticipate it to last me until I die (another 80 years!). Gonna turn it into a show car once I get my next ride.
Don't hate, congradulate! I know I'm a toyota-for-life-er (except for my 3Kgt I'll be getting next! and whatever motorcycle I end up with (bmw or ducatti)). Talking my gf into getting a taco, and my grandma into a cam hybrid, my gf's sister into a yaris, and anyone else I can into a toy. Almost had my roommie getting a carolla or cam until he got a good deal on a lancer.

I will.. I seem to have enough to put all new Tires/rims/axles/oil/all new fluids all around. I payed cash for my car..
I was forced to let my parents use it...
And I have 5k saved for my car and 3k more saved for misc/college stuff.. Did momy and dady pay for your stuff? They sure as hell dont help me at all. I pay everything myself. Insurance, gas, you name it.
I just wanted to giev a story on the camry being reliable and basically keeping my life safe. Please make an intelligent post based on facts.. BTW Im getting no help for college schooling.. Im paying for it in student loans, money Ive saved. Fuck off asshat.

Feel free to ignore the keyboard commandos, ryan. I've rescued many 20yr old Toyota cars and trucks anywhere from free to $1000 that the owners had given up on,mostly because lack of basic maintenance. One truck with an auto tranny, the guy tells me it run,but the tranny's "out" of it and won't go into gear. Ok, I go get a buddy and get ready to tow it home. While he's inside getting the title,I check the trans dipstick and it's dry. Hmmm..
Ok, I add a few quarts ATF and let it run. After I hand the guy $400 and get the title,my bud drives away. The guy says, I thought you were going to tow it..." I smiled as I got in put the truck in gear and drove away...

thanks.. yeah stuff comes tough for me, but its a good feeling when you know you have earned every bit of it.
Update: Got the car back from the shop.. That bill hurt, =p But its running 10x better now.
New tires, rims [stock ones for now]. We ran some seafoam through it.. and I think its the largest seafoam cloud ever seen.. It looked like a radioactive cloud of doom sweeping down the hill.. haha
