if a new 07 camry's engine (under 500 miles) is raced (6-7k RPM). Will it hurt the engine and possibly cut its life?

From your post it sounds like the engine revving part has already been done, so i'd say its best not to worry about it!
Revving the engine past redline is not going to do it any good, but it probably wont permanently break or wear out anything before its time - it all depends on how many times and for how long it was done. I think though, it's just better not to do it if you can avoid it.
