Toyota axes Camry Solara

According to my latest Motortrend, the Solara coupe and convertible is now dead. There will be no redesign using the new 07 Camry. Instead, it will be "replaced" by crossover based on the 2005 FT-SX concept, a four-door classified as a competitor to Ford's new Edge and probably the Mazda CX-7, both "personal-crossovers." Sry, no links to the original article from MT yet. Maybe Toyota is making room for the Supra?

huh ?? I thought Toyota just gave solara a facelift this year and the '07 model just came out couple weeks ago ...
I think solara might stay till at least 08 or 09 model year though..

yeah, i meant after 07 sry. According to MT, the last year will be either 07 or 08. I kinda doubt 07 will be the last since it just got a makeover.

Convertible?

I like the way that looks. I am sure it would sell as well as the current model would.
