There realyl isn't a DIY way to fix a crack. There are fillers that you can put in if your bissing a piece. This will not fix it, but only mask it to make it kinda dissapear. If you have a crack, most inssurence companies offer some sort of windshield replacements for really cheap if not free. You might want to look into that.

Supposedly if a windshield crack is below a certain size and a certain orientation, a glass shop can drill and fill to prevent it from spreading. Like Sthulin said, you can make it disappear, but it'll still be there. Check the insurance angle cause from experience I can tell you that the cheapest I've found for a Camry windshield (Gen 4) is $220 US without insurance mark-down.

This is what I got. It's still visible, but at least I know it won't spread and it was covered by insurance

there's no DIY job. you can usually get cracks repaired for about $15 - $40 depending on the shop and equipment they use. but as mentioned... it is just a quick fix and it doesn't fully get rid of the crack. you still may see the mark left by the chipped glass.

check to see if you have insurance coverage for your windshield. some windshield shops will eat the deductible so you don't have to pay anything and they'll just replace the whole thing for you. why would they do that?... they just end up overcharging the insurance company for the windshield.
