Crap!
Well I havent really let the cat out of the bag completely but My car has been turbo for awhile now and I just tuned it yesterday. I have a 97 with obd2. I am running supra injectors that were cleaned and flow tested. I converted to a return line setup and used a walbro 255lph pump with aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. I have a front mount intercooler, hks ssqv blow off valve, safc2, wideband o2 gauge, full exhaust, 3 inch downpipe, ngk plugs, and a ct26 with ceramic wheel. It pulls good at 4psi and it is very loud spooling and blow off valve. The problem is, my 5 speed is acting up now. I was making a pull this morning and then I get grinding now. If I push the clutch to the floor the engine runs beautiful (always did even without tune) and there is no sound. But then I stick it in gear and as I let the clutch out it makes a sound like a driveshaft is half in or a grinding slash tapping noise. It drives in every gear but makes a horrible sound. You guys think its my throw out bearing mabe? Its an ACT clutch with a generic throw out bearing. 3rd gear was going out before so that could be it too. Lets place bets! Im tearing it apart tonight and I will let you all know what it was. So lets speculate!!!! By the way for anyone who cares the car started up imediately after the turbo install coughed once then settled down to an even idle at 700 rpms and holds rock steady. Air fuel is 14.7 at idle and low load like cruising but promptly dips into the low 13'3 high 12's at spool up and tapers down into the low 12's high 11's in boost and hits low 11's at redline. No knocking, premium gas and its very smooth. Drives like stock. I did not need to take out fuel anywhere with the safc2 but I am adding almost 25% at redline because I am running a 3 bar map sensor which is a smaller scale than the 2 bar maps everyone was running.
