Gen5 Taillight removal

Well i already searched on this topic...but i was curious as to see if anyone recently had tried throwing the tailight in the oven and opening it up? I've read that it was impossible to take apart the lens. Anyways, i recently smoked out my tailights...i want to know how to remove the paint without screwing up the plastic..any ideas?

I want to remove the smoke spray becuase there are little mistakes that i am not happy with. I want to redo the smoking of the lights. Not only do i want it darker i want to keep the turn and reverse area clear(i was lucky to have the spray turn out so glossy i never needed a buffer). Some paint removers wont work on the light...too strong and will deform the plastic. I actually jsut did one headlight with success. I used CITRISTRIP cleaned with goof off and follwed with wet sanding and cleaning with warm soapy water.
