Cams again

Okay, I've asked about cams before but I was reading some previous posts and I read that some of you 5sfe'ers have had some nice gains from cams. I suppose I have two questions...

1. Are the 5sfe cams true DOHC or are they driven by an internal scissor gear like the 3sfe?
2. With the new cams (I couldnt find who supplies them etc) what is the duration and lift of the new cams??

Thanks in advance.

oh 3. 5sfe heads and cams cant be put on the 3sfe block can they? (i dont think they can but can anyone confirm this)

1. Both engines are "F" type heads, which means that 1 is driven internally via the other using a scissor gear. Only G type heads are individual and a driven by belts and cam gears (sepately).
2. Im pretty sure you would need custom cam regrinds for a 3SFE (and even a 5SFE..never heard of cams pre made), so the duration etc would be dependant on what you asked for.
3. You might find that the head does fit on....3S heads fit on 5S blocks (to make 5SGTE's...so, the otherway round would be logical...but not 100% on that.)

Cheers.
