You are most likely correct. It is most likely the blower motor resistor. This is a common problem. It can also be the fan switch itself, but this is rare. To be certain, locate the fan motor and follow the wires back to find the blower resistor. It is usually in the fan motor housing area itself, since the blower helps keep the resister cool to lenghten it's life. Now put the fan switch on 1 or 2 and back-probe the resister with a 12 volt test light. If you have 12 volts there, and I'm almost certain you will, then the switch is fine and the resistor is bad. I believe the resistor is a dealer only part.
