ABS light came on help needed

i noticed when i was taking out the guages.. to rewire it.. and noticed that the abs bulb was missing.. its a used car.. so i decided to replace it w/ the seatbelt bulb.. so i got everyting changed and put back together.. and went out for a test drive to see if it lighted up.. so about 20 mins on the road.. the light all of a sudden lighted up.. i don't know whats going on.. but i shutdown the car and then started her up again.. at that time.. i drove home to test again..it didn't show even w/ 30 mins of driving home.. i even took the long way.. is there anything wrong with the abs? or just something wrong w/ the computer.. thanks any help would be greatly appricaited

thanks
