3rd Generation 150000 miles maintenance

I bought my 95 4cyl camry and I am not sure what the maintenance was like before. At the moment, I am replacing the timing belt and water pump. What other maintenance should I be looking at to make sure that I am getting better than 20MPG? I know that it should be a lot better than that. Maybe changing fuel injectors? Any tips would be appreciated.

Four cylinder Camry mileage will vary greatly depending on driving conditions, traffic jam, freeway, mixed. Somewhere between the low 20’s and low 30’s. If you car runs OK, the injectors should be OK. You can always put a can of injector cleaner in the tank.

Check the condition of the air filter. Give the car a tune up, plugs, cap, and rotor. Check your plug wires. If you don’t know when the fluids were changed, replace the coolant, power steering and differential fluids. If an automatic, check the condition of the fluid and change it if you have any doubts. If a manual, just change it.

If changing the timing belt also change the idler and tension pulley, plus tension pulley spring.
