Headlight Flashers

I'm new to the board but have a question for you. I just purchased a pair of headlight flashers that will flash every time my alarm system is activated. The instructions require a 3/8" hole to be inserted into my headlights. I'm not too keen w/ drilling holes in my headlights, since i dont want any mositure seeping in. Should i just drill in them and where at? They come w/ rubber grommets to keep the moisture out. This is for a 3rd gen camry also. Thanks

HLF Series

Why would you want to put that crap in? It doesn't nothing for the car except to drain the battery even more, and if a thief wants to steal you car, that won't do anything, except to attract attention. If you drill your headlight assembly, guess where does those shrapnel will fall into. You might as well get some LED nozzles and wire that up to the alarm and have them flash instead.

I do have the led washer nozzles but those are wired to the turn signal, the reason i got those was 1 for the look (strobe lights are illegal here my friends have been pulled more than once) and 2 i was going to wire then in as city glow lights.

Hm.. sorry i can't help you out about the lights but the responses i saw just made me have to reply. I would have thought the people on this board would answer questions regardless of the purpose. Everyone has different ideas on what is good what is not, owell. Just my opinion, disregard if you'd like.

hmmm....you're right.....I feel ashamed of myself already....he came to us for help, and we didn't really.....heh...sorry about my past post......

seriously speaking, you should check on honda forums for more information, cuz more honda ppl have probably done this mod just cuz of the sheer amount of them......

personally, I'd say don't do it because it's not a good idea to drill your headlights, but if you do, make sure you use the gromets, and if you can, use some caulking too to make sure it's sealed nice and tight....
