Well my car is a mroe rare colored gen 3.5. You just dont see that many Nightshadow Blue 3.5 cammys. So what winded up as a car wash... turned into a 6-7 hour endevour on making the car look like it should. All the Nightshadow Blues I see are turning green , or so encased in dirt that they look horrible. On their side, it is a dark color, and can hide a fair amount of grime.
1) Washed with EagleOne car wash, 3 oz. for 3 gallons of car wash mixed w. water. I did the two bucket thing here. [one with clean soapy, one to squeeze it out]
Washed once over with a sheepskin mit. Then washed each half of the car with one side of a microfiber mit. This really worked well for me, and took off a fair amount of dirt by looking at the mit O.O
2)Dried with this towel i decided to try out that was on sale at autozone. Its like a fabric sponge.. really odd, but it worked EXCELENT. Trick was to lay the whole thing out at a time, and let the suction of it get all the water off the car.
3)CLAY BAR!! Woohoo. 3 hours of doing 2x2ft. Areas of the car.. It was black by the time i was done with the whole car.. Note to folks using one for the first time, cool the hood with water before you start then dry it.. You will thank me later.
4) Wax with Nattys Blue. WOW, just WOW nuff said for dark colored cars.
PICS:
BEFORE, Im using my cingular 8125 to take the pics, so I had to hit the sunlight for the defects and grime to be seen.
AFTER, [Now its a huge mirror with a blue tint to it , hehe. The Nightshadow has incredible deph. Amazing color, Im sorry Im just now restoring it to its shine.
Remember the ol' nasty hood ?
AFTER:
Overall, Im very happy with how it looks now. After next week, I will be picking up a Porter Cable 7428 Polisher to seriously take some of the swirl marks left, and make it new.
Hope ya enjoy the pics
Next on the list:
In 17, 18's. Havent decided yet and of course some lowering. And then TRP headers and intake.. and tint, and dont make me think of something else!

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda

Thanks for the replies all. Yeah its a more rare color. But thats why I like it. Itll look even better when the porter cable and products from 3M get here.
@weaponrcamry. Oh trust me I know. These tires still have some life in them before I get new rims. I will be getting 17 or 18" kazeras in a silver finish [not to be confused w. chrome] then some lowering springs will go on at the same time.
I hope for my sake, TRP doesnt come out with TOO many new products in the next month or so, hehe

Wow, Its so shiny! My car has been waxed only 2 times in its life with me.
Aww that wont do! Trust me, I was a little hesitant on doing this much work on it, but the sense of accomplishment when you look at your car, and say I did that, I made it look good is all the payment you need
Its kinda addicting.
