man... i'm starting to see the new camry everywhere... while driving, i see a black camry xle along my side, turn right then see the blue se, pull into the freeway passed two SE, out the ramp to the parking lot and i bump into a white le. this like a 10 min drive. i'm feeling like my camry is like another whore or something lol.. should of just add 5 more grand and get the lexus IS, which seems to be better overall and plus less people have it

Well, hee hee!
Camry has been the best-selling car for most of the past decade and more, so it would be essentially the very last thing you'd want if "uniqueness" is what you want in a car. Six months from now, we'll likely be floating in new Camrys. Just remember, Toyota is pumping out something to the tune of 2,000 Camrys every day!
Personally, between the cops and the criminals, I prefer a car that "blends in with the crowd" -- let 'em go for the fancier cars that stand out, y'know, like the IS!

There are alot of new Camry's popping up around here too. I would say 97% of them being LE's. Have seen only 1 Hybrid and 1 SE on the road so far. No XLE's though . The most popular color would definetly be Desert Sand Mica, with Aloe Green Pearl coming in a close 2nd place. I have also seen a Barcelona Red SE at the local Toyota dealer, and I didn't like it that much. The color doesn't look good on the Camry, IMO.
I agree with thoots in loving having a car that blends in with everything on the road. I constantly speed in my Camry (not meaning too; just a habit) and since my car is white and and bland looking, cops would never see my car over bright colored car or something with shiny rims.

Getting widespread here too. toyota busted a sales record for Canada last month or something like that. They sold more Camrys and Corrolas than ever before.
I've seen lots of black and blue ribbon ones. Many SEs too surprisingly, wich is cool.

In Southeast Wisconsin, I've seen plenty of SE's and LE's, but surprisingly not to many of the new V6's. Everyday at work, the same new 07 Camry Hybrid parks next to me. I'm starting to get jealous.

Camry and Lexus are both fine cars, which is why you see them everywhere. I think people are tired of paying big money for some car that becomes a POS at 50,000 miles - which is why Detroit automakers are on the skids. Sad but true...i know, i work on Detroit's finest every day.
I too considered Lexus, and i would have gone for one in a hot minute except they are so pricey for me. But you just got your car a little while ago, i'd go back to the dealer and work a deal for a Lexus..why not? You wont lose much money i dont think, dealers make sales like this all the time and it is no big deal to them.

American auto makers are getting better though. The new Cadillac's are probably the best the brand has ever made (quality wise), and the new GMC Yukon's and Chevy Tahoe's are a huge improvement over the older models. I wish Toyota made a Sequoia XL or something similar becuase my mom would probably get one in a heartbeat. She has a 2005 GMC Yukon XL now and it's been better than her '01 XL and her '99 Suburban, but the leather on her new one is starting to crack like shes had it for 3 or 4 years. The leather on my Camry is cracking also... but it's 6 years old so that is expected. Even little things like dash materials and the overall quality of the car itself is better than my mom's and she paid close to $50,000. I think Toyota could sell alot of something bigger than the standard Sequoia. That would be nice.

In the three months I've had my '07 I've seen maybe 5 others in my area. One was an SE the others appeared to be LE or XLE. I don't mind though cause I'm getting plenty of attention from omlookers.
yep, i've seen quite a few camry's in my area, but it doesn't get to me... not many are SE's or V6's... plus being slightly modified for my taste... i find mine unique

I considered the IS... but that thing is more along the size of the carolla... it tapers in too much at the top. There's no shoulder room at all. And absolutely no rear leg room...

Uhhh............an IS is only 5K more than a loaded XLE? THe avalon is 5K more then the ES is at least 5K more than that and teh IS would be 5K more than THAT.
Am i right?
Usually I say, if ou cant get top of the line trim, go to the lower model car an get loaded.
Unless the price is teh same. I have heard that a loaded ES can be higher than a GS.

I checked on edmunds and put the options I want, which is comporable as my XLE and it came to be a little over 5k. i guess this is my first car, so i felt in love with it after seeing it. hmm... thinking about it, i went to test drive an RX, but didn't see an IS. i thought that lexus is too expensive, but i would probably have gotten it if i know the price of an IS back then... the price different isn't bad, only about 25% more
