Not a big noticeable amount, especially in a I4. Maybe a 5-10 hp gain, barely noticeable for $200 CAD, unless you custom do yours for about 60CAD. It'll give you a better sound over a better performance increase.

you wont feel any different before and after you have the CAI. Just the loud air sucking sound

the horsepower gain is actually from using a higher flow filter instead of the stock airbox type.
unfortunately too many people attest to the CAI as the reason for HP gain.
you'll also have to change filters more often seeing as how there's a ton more pollutants and road debris down below the bumper line.

If I'm not mistaken, there are no Gen 4 cold air intakes (by brand names). They make CAIs for Gen 3 and 5, but not Gen 4.

I checked AEM and K&N. I already know Injen doesn't make one.

For the Camry in my signature (Gen 4), I got an Injen Short RAM intake. Not as good, but as close as you'll get.

The difference between Short RAM and Cold Air? Cold Airs are further away from the engines and pulls in more cold air (obviously). Short RAMs are closer to the engine. It can't pull as much cold air since it's closer to the engine and the engine generates heat (can't pick up much cold air there).

If you like loud go short ram. If you like deep tone go make yourself a custom cai. But their are none on the market for gen 4 like wtcnbrwdo4u said.

I've seen a CAI for the 4th Gen Camry made by "Weapon R". Has anyone heard of it, and are they any good? Price on it is $115 USD.

Yes, I've seen it. Some sites mark it as a CAI, other as a Short RAM.

I don't know... I'd rather go brand name.

I dont Know about those intkes for the gen 4 i have a 98 and the options are few the intakes are all about the same and the short rams are a waste of money cuz your just sucking in hot air i was looking @ the stock intake and its small yes but it does lead to a inlet just behind the driver side turn signal so (tec) that is a form of a cold air intake i just threw a air hog on mine and it does run better and the gas km went way up i get about 675 to 750 km on a tank but then again i do have full exspulsion system down pipe to the ass

I think some guys have the Weapon R intakes. And there definetely are other aftermarket intakes.

I just don't look at them because they are pretty worthless in my mind. Get one if you don't plan on doing anything more performance wise.
