4th Generation Spark Plugs

At my next oil change, I will need to replace my spark plugs. I am looking at the Bosch Platiinum 4 spark plugs right now and premium wire sets. What differences in performance can I expect from the ones that are installed in 4th generation Camrys?

Thanks

hey there,

from what ive been reading, bosch plugs are no good for the gen4's they have been shown to cause more problems. I would stick with NGK or Denso. Denso is what toyota uses. If you get Denso Plat/Iridiums you will be fine. I'm not sure if the brand of harnesses will make a difference, so bosch maybe ok to use.

i changed my denso plats with new denso plats and there have been no problems.

no noticeable difference really, maybe slightly better mileage, but on your gen4, which i presume is stock, you wont notice a power difference.

Like others have stated, stick with Denso platinums or NGK.
You can get NGK wires which are direct replacement for OEM wires.

If you dont mind me asking, but where did you read that bosch plugs are not good for the 4th gen. Not trying to be rude, just asking . What kind of Denso plugs come origannaly with the car, and what are the best Denso plugs that I can buy? What is the difference between the Platinum and Iridiums?

Thanks

We don't know which engine you're asking about.
If it's the 1MZ the denso plats with the double ground electrodes, stock replacements, are they way to go. I wouldn't mess with any other if you want them to last.
