3rd Generation replaced window motor

The right rear window regulator went out so I ordered a new one. Cost me $60 shipped. I install it which is really 2 bolts 6 nuts and one wire connector. Ok it works but in reverse of what it should. Lifting the switch rolls it down and pushing down rolls it up. The reverse of all the other switches. The wire connector only fits one way so I know I didn't put the wires backwards. Is there a simple way to rewire it so it rolls up and down correctly?

Which switches operate backwards, the driver’s side, passenger door, both? Are the wire colors the same going into and out of the motor plug?

If both switches are affected, it is possible to remove (pull out) the individual connectors from the plug and swap them. They are held in with a spring clip. You will need to come in from the front of the plug with some type of small probe. I thought the Camry manuals section had something on wiring repairs.

I guess I should have been more specific. When I use either the master switch or the right rear door switch I have to move the switch in the opisite direction I want the window to roll. I.E. on the master switch I lift up to get all windows to roll up except the right rear. I have to push down to get it up. It is the same way on the right rear door itself. Up to go down and down to get it up. I will look at the wiring connector to see if I can just pull the wire ends out and slide them in the opisite spot. Maybe that will get the desired affect.

I'd try switching the wires even if you have to cut and splice. It sounds like the wires were installed into the connector backwards.

I was able to use a boby pin to push the spring clip down and get the wire out without cutting and splicing. Switched the wire around and it works fine. Problem solved. Thanks for the help.

Most likely a manufacturing error, this happens.
