Gen6 Removing Rear Toyota Emblem

Has anyone done this yet? If so, can you please provide pics. If not, do you guys think the rear will look weird without this emblem?

I suspect that there might be holes behind it if they are like the older models.

it'll look weird unless you replace it with something. cause the body panel is curved to the emblem, but i guess you could always flatten it out if you're that embarrassed about driving a toyota lol

I've taken mine off.

There are 2 locating holes so I could not do what I wanted to do so I replaced with a Lexus emblem instead. It covered the holes.

It's not a problem with the Toyota Emblem being so big, it's that the chrome outline is so massively wide.

I'm working on the front now but I need to get some spray touch up paint to match the rest of the Titanium color. It had two locating holes also but they are easily filled and sanded in plastic.

Someone on here posted his new red 07 Camry with painted black Toyota emblems. He tooks his off then painted them black. It looked real sharp....

For the life of me I cannot remember his name...

I painted my front emblem silver to match my car... I felt that it was too big and the chrome made it look even bigger... I haven't done the rear yet... but i will when i get the time... it think i might even order the actual titanium color of my car and do it...

LunarMist- I don't know y other ppl do it, but I removed my camry and SE emblems because i think it makes the car look cleaner without words littering the trunk

True. I guess its the oppsite for me. I actually like how the chrome lettering looks against the blue paint of my Camry. But to each its own lol.

Is the removal of the emblem being done for safety reason? 'casue camry's are among the most stolen? I dount if removing it will help though.

I was contemplating on buying a camry from an Infinity dealer (it was a trade in), it was a 03 4 cyl XLE, but on the back side.. there were no emblems (I mean NO Toyota, NO camry, NO XLE)... .the truck door was CLEAN shaven....

I suspected that it was in an accident and the emblems were gone when the truck door was repainted...

Do people noramlly remove it...

Actually, last year when i got pulled over for "speeding" (it was 10mph over the speed limit on a 35mph freeway onramp, in an area notorious for anal cops)

Because my camry was debadged, the officer wrote Make: Toyota Model: IDK.

and i got the ticket dismissed because that's an improperly filled out citation for not having the model of the car correctly filled out. and thanks to the liberal judges here in hawaii i didn't even have to make up a story. just told the judge the ticket was erroneous, ticket thrown out, still have a clean record today =)
