On a side note........why do the exhaust headers/manifold rust so fast compared to the rest of the car?

And what is the difference between a header and manifold?

well they prlly rust so fast because they are constantly heating up and cooling down. When they heat up they expand. And a header and a manifold are the same thing (correct me if I'm wrong).

There was a similar commercial for the Celica a couple of years back. An old man with a walking stick yelling at the car to slow down.

Re: the heat shield, there was a thread about it where it was discussed at length.
i think the conclusion was that CA emissions cars don't come with the heat shield.
