Camry downtime...New Engine swap possibiltys???

Okay, my 96 five speed is now seeing some down time and I am looking for a wintertime project to do an engine swap in it. I have done a search and found tons of info....HOWEVER what I am looking for is some idea's what has worked well for those out there on the board.

I currently have a 2.2 matted to a 5speed with 150k-ish on both.

I am looking to upgrade the engine to start and then go from there.

Any suggestions on an upgrade for size/displacemtn/code?

Thanks all.

You can either turbo what you have, get a v6 1mzfe front clip and swap in that or spend the big bucks to swap in a 3sgte. Good luck.

I am still learning about turbo, so with this for now I would rather go N/A.
Thanks for the help though, now I have something to start looking round for.

Any other suggestions or is this a limited selection?
