how to get the remote engine starter?

i'm curious on how to get the remote engine starter to work... does anyone know how? it's a nice feature for me since i live in a cold place. the regular master key looks pretty much the same as the engine starter key. i think it's all about programming the key. is there something that needs to be install on the vehicle in addition to having the remote engine starter key? if anyone know anything about this, share oh ya, i looked on toyota website and it costs over $500 to get that key.

I had remote start in the '05 Corolla I just had along with my Explorer and there's no special key.
It's in the remote unless Toyota is different from every other vehicle.
I don't know if the '07 key has the remote built in or as I have push button start
You press a button on the remote a couple of times and the truck starts.
When you get in you put the key in and turn the key just to on and go.

My '07XLE is at Toyota right now for tomorrow's remote start installation along with the side moulding installation.
I'm curious as to how it works because I have the push button start option.
So I don't know what the procedure is with that option.

according to toyotaguide, all you have to do is press lock twice within two seconds, then press and hold lock again for 3 seconds. your camry's signals will flash once and that should start up your carmry. you can also tell by the 20 seconds signal flashes if you're far away or can't hear the engine starting. hope that help to get your remote start working once you get back your car.
