I am in the process of a major engine modification project and need to upgrade my fuel system. There are so many different injector & pump brands out there and I don't know which one to chose. Has anyone had any luck with a specific brand that could give me some insight? From the initial research tha I have done I believe I need 440 - 550 cc injectors. Some quick info for you that may help.....
2AZ-FE - 11:1 Comp. JE coated pistons, rods and titanium retainers, oversized exhaust valves, competition springs, performance cams, ported, polished & blueprinted, Intake & exhaust, 55 shot nitrous, and in the process of narrowing down a engine mgmt. system. Leaning towards the Greddy E-manage ultimate.
Upon doing some more research, I think you're right. I am going with the 550's which is still more than I had originally thought. Just bought a 250 LPH fuel pump. Do I need to change the pressure regulator or sending unit? I would assume I would need to do the regulator.
Seek out the people that have done major modifications to their car and have more experience than just searching the web. Shishoda, TRD4Life, Wraith, PaldinGreg, etc.
I wasn't judging your experience. I was saying to ask around for people who have experience with the Toyota systems. Check out solaraguy.com as well. From what I've seen Hot-Rods/Domestics are much more plug and play and parts MUCH more readily available than for our Toyota's. Good luck. Jon.
Your are absolutely right Jon on the parts not being as readily available for the Toyota's, let alone the Camry which are non existant. I know a lot about engines as a whole, it's when you start introducing a computer into the mix that sometimes makes me a little nervous. The scary part is my career is in the computer field...
I have heard a lot about the Aeromotive line UfoZ, & that is what I am leaning towards.
Thank You Guys for all of your knowledge & help, and I will keep you updated when the project is completed.
Check out Solaraguy.com under Check this 2AZ-Fe out shows a built up, turbocharged I4 running 550 hp and he has the list of what he used to build it up. Maybe that'll help you along. Good luck. Jon.
Originally, I had decided on the 440 cc and still may go with those. My first car I ever built had a small block chevy that i put a Holley 850 double pumper on. Never made that mistake again. I could almost hear the car drowning in it's own juices. I love the worksheet that RC has to figure all the technical info and what injector is right for you.
after ur done with the car,,put some pics up,,and why dont u try for 300-350 hp,,try to be able to be a G35 or something,,now thats pretty interesting on the road,,when midsize family car,,ripz a G35 lol
