gas gauge problem

i just put the gauges on yesterday and didnt remove the needles.... it was decently easy to get them on and i had 3/4 a tank and today i filled it up with the gauges on it went up just like it normally would... i drove about 40 miles and it hasnt moved... im starting to wonder if theres a problem

Not sure if I understand your question correctly.
But it'll take a while after you fill up before the needle start to moves.
Mine takes almost 50 miles of city driving (1-2 gal) before it drops to the first mark.
