4th Generation Nasty smell from a/c?

I almost threw up yeterday. it rained really hard the other night while i was at work. the next morning i went in my car to pop the hood and trunk so i could install my new airhorn(teehee). Well it smells like rotten ass in there. Its unbearable. I tried to cover it up with carpet powder cuz i had a date that night. It worked fine for a while until i had to take her home. We had to drive home with the windows down. Note that i'm in florida and its like 80 derees out and humid at night.

Anyways, what could that smell be? mold? it happened overnight in my garage. i'll be taking apart my dash to look in there.

Any help would be apreciated.

I have heard that small critters can get into the air intake box and might have died in there. Also, sometimes, a/c drain was clogged and thus causing algae to grow and caused the foul smell. Hopefully, you will find out the source.

Try spraying lysol down the vent. and/or run it at full blast with the air comming from the out side for a while
