3rd Generation Amplifier gauge cable.

My friend has a capacitor for his two amps in his trunk and he has a '94 V6 Camry. So far, he has two 8-gauge cables connected to the positive output of the capacitor. Since he does not have a 4-gauge cable at hand it it's out of stock at a nearby store, is it possible to hook up two 8-gauge cables together from the battery to the capacitor in order to substitute for the 4-gauge cable?

You probably could, but it takes more than two 8 gauge cables to substitute one 4 gauge cable.

Make sure you put a fuse on there though. You'll probably need to put both 8 gauge cables into the single fuse holder.

every 2 # difference is double the wire conductor area.

6AWG has double the surface area as the 8awg
