3rd Generation Front door speaker install problem!

Hey guys,

I have an Aussie 1994 2.2 Camry, and have SOMEHOW changed the door speakers.

Now, as a factory setup, they came with maybe 2 or 3 inch speakers in a black plastic casing, bolted to the door.

Obviously, I couldn't fit 6.5 inch speakers (coaxial) into a 3 inch hole... so I had to re-create the black plastic grill with 12mm MDF. They fit in there fine, but HALF THE SPEAKER'S COVERED UP BY THE DOOR PANEL! Has anyone come across this stupid issue? and if so, what ways have I got around it?? Any information would be GREATLY, and I mean GREATLY apreciated!!

Thanks blokes!

Mate, that looks alright, how did you end up bolting that to the door? and also, did you have to get some kind of carpet to cover the rest of the grill there? And anoooottthhheeerrrr... ya reckon you can chuck on the grill that comes with them speakers? so ya don't damage them or whatever?

Cheers! Will give it a shot if it works out fine
