You can use the larger filters that some Toyota 4 cylinder engines use such as those for the 1.6l 4AGE

Try 1986 and newer Corolla GTS if you're searching for the car model
I believe that the 2.4l 2AZ-FE engines in the newer Camrys use the same filter also

If you have a NAPA near you, the filter is Napa Gold 1396 which is about 1/2"-1" longer than the 1394 filter. Gasket and thread is the same.

I only know the Napa part number because I use those filters all the time.

That's it, just 1/2" - 1" longer?

Other manufacturers such as Purolator make equivalent filters, and I have used them, but that's the only larger filter that I know will fit.

Toyota only has two size filters for 4 cylinder engines and those are it. The only difference is that one of them is 1/2" to 1" longer.

??

How extended? Why extended? On my Camry I use Mobil 1 synthetic extended performance 15,000 mile oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic filter and change it every 10,000 miles. If you are running regular oil go with 5,000 miles oil change and oil filter interval.

When you say larger, do you mean taller?
I use the imzfe filter for my 2.2. its taller and i like that its got more grip to remove when the times comes. The diamater is the exact same, i think the filter ends withpart number 1zz

Extended oil filter? If by "extended" you mean extended mileage - I have an issue with the concept, so i won't use them on my own engines.
The oil filter protects the engine from dirt, dirt causes wear that destroys your engine. That little can full of paper will only hold so much and last for so long. And considering the environment of extreme heat it operates in, i'm pessimistic on long life filters being able to do anything but cost you more when you buy it.
I buy the cheapos and change em often, 3,000 mi or so along with the oil. Just my opinion, i could be wrong though.
