hey guys,

I'm helping a friend change its oil and i need to know how many qt to put in. it's a 99 camry i4

3.5 L/ qt is the recommended, but it depends on the filter you choose too, so get 4L or 1 gal of oil and then check

Buy about 5 individual quarts of oil. Drain oil and then fill to dipstick hatch mark. always go by the dipstick mark for best accurancy. Any remaining oil, use for top off.

The 2.2 5SFE engine is listed at 3.8 quarts when changing the oil and the filter. I have a 98 2.2 and use a Fram filter. Mine usually takes the full 4 quarts.
