Gen6 Push Button Start -- "Accessory" Position?

Hi All,

I'm considering a purchase of a 2007 XLE V6.

Only problem is that I can't seem to find one in the Portland area that doesn't have the "push button start".

I'm not a big fan of spending $400'ish extra for a button when a key ignition has always worked perfectly well for me.

So, here's my question: In most cars with a "key" ignition, they have an "off", "accessory", "on" and "start" position. "Accessory" mode allows the user to do things like listen to the radio or charge their cell phone without having to have the engine running.

With the push-button start, how is the "accessory" position handled, since it seems to have only the "on" and "off" positions? I don't have the opportunity to see the owner's manual as I don't (yet) own the car, but it's been bugging me that I haven't been able to find an answer to the question.

Thanks

-Dan

That's the same question my wife had...

If you just push the button, then it turns on accessory.
If you hold the brake and push the button, it starts the engine.

Works great... we love ours.
