First off, its been awile since I have posted here, its great to be back!!

I have a 92 camry 4-banger, that just hit 102,000 miles. The other day, I back out of my driveway, and when I hit the gas, I heard a "thump, click, then a kinda of bang"!?

Not every time I brake and step on the gas it makes that noise. I just got the engine mounts changed, thinking that was the problem, but it didnt help! What else could it be?

noise coming from rear, front, where?

could it be worn strut mounts or blown struts?

I know the feeling. My Solara only has 26,000 miles and it's got some strange sounds coming from the area of the front right strut. I get creaking and popping sounds when I accelerate from a stop, clicking sounds when I go over bumps, and clunking sounds when I accelerate while moving and when I hit the brakes. I just replaced the strut mount, but that had no effect. I had the struts removed and checked, but everything seemed to be OK. A shop that I use thinks the creaking sounds might be due to bad engine mounts, but that's just a guess. I'm getting a bit frustrated.
