3rd Generation removing the cat

am i ok if i remove the cat on my 94 1mzfe it has an o2 sensor after it so that kinda detered me for a while. i just want to know if there was anybody who did the same?

Check the county where your car is licensed to see if an emission testing is required. If yes, the lack of a converter will cause the car to fail either the inspection check or tail pipe emissions test.

I think you're car would actually run slower without it reading properly. I guess the computer will read and try to compensate improperly to fix the problem (so i heard). Anyway, some guy at an exhaust shop said they have $10,000 fine if you're caught without a cat. I'll save that trouble and the noise from not having one

You can get a high-flow cat, which is legal and will flow better, but I wouldn't bother doing that, or deleting the cat. These motors aren't making enough power / exhaust pressure to make much additional power without a cat or with a high-flow cat. With a turbo or supercharger, then maybe it would make sense.

By the way, if you have a downstream O2, then the car WILL throw a code if you delete the cat, unless you have O2 simulators connected.
