Unhappy Plasmacluster air conditioning

Does anyone know if the ionzier can be disabled with Camry's having the plasmacluster ionzier system?...The owner's manual indicates that the ionizer stops when the driver side air vent is closed...I haven't received an answer from Toyota customer service...

The ionizer runs whenever the blower is on. There is no separate fuse so the best you could do is find it behind the dash and pull its plug.
