4th Generation My MTEC 4750K Halogens

I ordered these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

I was considering getting the 4370K, but I read a thread saying the 4750K is a better improvement. I had Sylvania SilverStars H4/9003s on, but it was only a little bit whiter then OEM, and only a tad brighter. I hoped that these MTECs would be a bit bluer or whiter.

See for yourself:

Left is the Silverstars, right is the MTECs:

Both sides are MTEC 4750Ks
Low beam:

High beam:

A great improvement for H4/9003 halogens. These draw the same amount of power as the stock bulbs, 55W I believe. They look a bit blue when staring directly into it, the camera can't really capture that well. But shining on the garage is noticeable better then the Silverstars.

Edit: Oh, the first picture with the Silverstars and MTECs, the headlights weren't aligned, so I fixed them when I installed both MTECs.

That first pic..looks like the MTEC's don't put out as much light....how are they night time driving?

It's because the right headlamp is older then the left headlamp. I had small accident and had to replace the one with the Silverstars on, so it's less fogged up and stuff. Look at the last picture with both MTECs, the light on the left is a tad brighter and wider then the other one.

It's a tad less light, but since I drive in the city, it seems fine. I'll try it out for a few weeks, but I doubt it would be that dangerous as compared to the former lights.

hmm nice colour, but I used to have the MTEC bulbs, same as yours and they're NOT that bright! So dangerous, I couldnt see the road at night. They're such good bulbs but I wouldn't use them for driving.

Get HID Kit like I did....So much better than the MTEC hehehe...

other than that, very nice colour

Output definately a problem. I would surely stick with the silverstars if you want to see better at night.
