Anyone have suspension mods done to their car? Either springs or coilovers? How do you find it rides with a full car? Do you have your shocks changed as well?
Thanks!

Phi - thanks for the invite! I can see this will be a friendly board!
I believe you're the one who posted a message looking for me on DSCR. Sorry I dont' check that board very often.
I have VIS coilovers and I can tell you the ride is on the harsh side. I would only recommend it only as the last frontier of slamming your car. I've had H&R springs before and they were great. Intrax, B&G, and Eibach all make springs.
It's always good to change to aftermarket struts when installing aftermarket springs. I have KYBs. Other choices are Koni and Tokico.
Hope that helps.

That does help... I'll tell you my exact situation.
I'm planning on selling real estate... so I'm going to need a car that will fit at least 4 people, but, I still want to have a decent ride. What would you recommend as for a suspension setup?
And yes, it was me that posted a msg for you on DSCR. Your car looks amazing!
If I was you I would not get coilovers they ride harsh and with time they might get worst. Also with snow and salt aluminum corodes and then your adjustable coilovers are stuck.Go with H&R they ride nice and drop perfectly.
Hi Brando, thanks for the complements. It's very much still a work in progress. So you're a real estate agent, eh? If you're in Ontario, you should know what REBBA is. I hand a small hand in drafting that.
Anyway, given your situation, H&Rs would definitely be the way to go. Check you're local shop if you're in Canada. It shouldn't me more than $450-$500 installed. If you're in the US, then order from http://www.tirerack.com
From my experience, the KYB struts make a good combo with the H&R springs. I can't say for the other brands but I'm sure they're good too.

Yeah, I know all about REBBA... you had a hand in that??? damn... I haven't actually started selling yet... I still have some course to do before I can be registered... but I'm looking for a new ride (the CRX won't cut it carrying 4 adults...
I'm up in Barrie, and I can get dealer cost on most of my parts... but if you know of anyone in the GTA that does good work for low cost, I sure would be interested.
Thanks to everyone that has replied to my post as well... it's all very informative.
I see. So you're looking to get a Camry? They're built solid, and as a business car, gives a positive impression to your clients. There are plenty of mint condition low mileage Gen3s (92-96) out there.
I've just found a very good mechanic who specializes in Toyota and Lexus. Just let me know if you need his info.

Hi, im using trd shocks and springs... the springs are actually by eibach... i think the TRD shocks are by tokico but i have to double check... the ride is awesome even with a full load 5 passenger (incld the driver) i scraped only a few times cos of the damn humps are screwed but otherwise the ride is awesome... placing tower bars and rear sway bars would greatly help as well...
I thought you have a gen 3 Camry. How are you using TRD struts and springs?
