Are you unable to move the shift lever from Park, or you can move the lever but the transmission stays in Park?

There is an interlock relay or cable that prevents the shift lever from being moved unless the ignition switch is in the ON or Access position and the brake on.

Check the ECU-IG, Cig/Radio and Stop fuses. The interlock can be bypassed by removing a small plug located on the shift level console just left of the gearshift lever. Once removed, you should see something white made of plastic. Push down on this to release the shift lever.
