Upgrading friends camry- suggestions?

Ok... my friend recently got a lot of money from his tax return and I am helping him hook his 93 camry 4cylinder up.

Yes it is only a 4 cylinder... and hes not trying to race it, he just wants it to be a little faster for his personal enjoyment...

I know enough about cars to do everything myself but my experience is in working with V8 engines.

We have already done the exhaust with all new 2 1/4 pipe, removed cats, new resonator, and a dual-tip performance muffler... sounds real good and he has already noticed better performance with this mod... second thing we added 17" ICW rims with low profile tires (just for looks, duh)

So this is what I wanted to know:

What should he do to get the best overall performance out of this car without a supercharger or any forced induction?

I am thinking along the lines of a ram air intake, some better spark plugs, not sure which to use on toyotas, a lot of people use NGK?

Can anyone suggest anything we should do such as new thicker spark plug wires, anything that will make this car go a little faster?

Thanks in advance guys

Daniel
