Converting 9006 to 9005...

I bought the upgrade of harness through SUVLIGHTS.com thanks to this forum. Before I install, I was wondering how long the 9005 bulbs 100W last as regular headlight bulbs. Don't they last shorter than 9006 or are they about even? Thanks for the replies...

Converting 9006 to 9005...

I've made this mod few months ago. I realized that the lighting was becoming really poor ... The bulb was melting under it's own heat

See by the pics ... At your risks.

WOW! Perhaps that was just a bad bulb, or really cheap quality.
I've had mine done for two years, maby three and I've only had one go out cause the filiment came loose. I use Sylvania Silverstars.
