Wheel Lock Nut broke

I was removing wheel lock nut with a 1/2" breaker bar and part of the lock nut broke off.
I'm still able to grip the nut with the key, but before trying this, should I soak the nut with Liquid Wrench or penetrating oil and then loosen with socket and wrench or tire iron or electric impact gun?

I read the post and it was for those who could NOT grip the nut, I can grip it with the key lock but before I do, which penetrate oil and removable method should I use? Breaker Bar or Impact gun ?

impact gun if you have one. and it wouldn't hurt to soak it with pbblaster or something, though if you can get a good girp still, there isn't really any point

and why did you even use a breaker bar if you had an impact gun??

The link stated the tire shop had a universal key they installed, and then drove it with an impact wrench.

I was out of town, and I only had a breaker bar. Anyhow I used Penetrating oil and let it soak in , then I used the breaker bar only to find out that it gripped better tightening the bolt than loosening it. I couldn’t do it, so I went for the impact gun and it broke the key. The nut on the wheel has only the center groove, so a new Key can be used. Now I should go to a tire shop, maybe the dealer to get this out. Might as well remove all the other key locknuts and replace with original nuts.

no- they would rip them off with a generic removal tool or socket and you wouldn't be able to use them again.

we can't answer that for you

you usually use one that's one size smaller than the actual size

Bought a Nut Remover set from Sears. Does anyone know which remover nut # I require for my rounded locknut ? The package says to use #13 for 19mm and I measured one of the other good locknuts I have to be 20mm.
