serious questions

1) i have a manual, and i parked my car in 3rd gear on a slope without the handbrake up and after i let my foot off the brake, the car started rolling backwards, but it rolled weird, like it would roll a bit then stop, roll then stop........anyways was this bad for the car/drivetrain/axle?

2) what speed do you guys out there shift at, i used to shifting at 3k rpm, but now i shift at about 2900 rpm when i'm accelerating and if i'm going constant speed, i just try to change the gear so that the rpm is just below 2k, i get about 570km/tank using this method.

i shift at about 3, sometimes more, 4.5 if i wanna hear her roar

3k or more.. touched redline a few times... hehehehe but that's just an itch that needed some scratching... otherwise.... 3k approx.. and if there are cops beside me... im under 3 k im luggin it sux but i gotta keep the volume down on my muffler
