air pressure question

Ok, this sat. is opening day at Great lakes dragway and i plan on going, i cant wait. But last year my car really didnt run as good as i had antisapated. Well i did not screw with my air pressure much, so basically what is the best air pressure to run in both front and rear. Thanks for the help, and i hope that it shows on the times.

Does no one know the answer to this question. Well i really would like some suggestions, i know that there is some answer that would be better then running on tire specs, an i really would like my times to be better then last year. it didnt help that last year i ran when it was in the 90's. Well anyway, i really would like some suggestions, i only get about 3 to 4 runs in and i would like them to count. There is going to be 500+ cars and i really would not want to make a fool of the old cam. lol

15 psi is like half the tire pressure left on the tires.

How about 25?

i said that i was going to try around 20 and around 40 in the rear, i would not try 15 a this time, i will wait to try that on some other tires. 15 sounds to low for me too. I quess that i will find out what works best tomarrow at the track, providing that i can get in enough runs.

yeah 15 does sound too low. why they would want the pressure low anyway, is it for better traction or 'wrinkle tyre' effect or something?

That is the point if you read all the posts, i was going to the track but it was cancalled yesterday because it was cold and wet, but it is for the traction, you need this for your 60 ft times, which are the times that greatest effect your et.
