Considering I was the first person to tackle the V6 swap, it took a little longer because of having to wait for parts, seeing what fits and what not, etc.... It was about 2 weeks downtime but that was because it was a couple days wait for one part, then another days for another part, and the process kept on having to be put on hold for the parts.

For someone will all the parts on hand, it can be done in 1 or 2 days easily.

I always thought solaras, like the standard camry only offered standard trannys with the four cylinder, but if they'res a v6 solara with the standard, then all the better. and i know this only applies to the north american market. areas where gas is more expensive manuals are offered on almost all cars. oh well. hopefully if i decide to go through wit this, it'll all work out.

Very comprehensive install link Ratko!

I'm not sure if you posted this but how fast was your 5sp conversion in the 1/4 mile?

Thanks!

Thanks. Hopefully I'll find out this summer... with good traction i think mid to high 14's aren't an unreasonable goal.

I really need to weight my car... being a 2-door and manual, and no power seats or sunroof... i think it'll dial in at under 3000lbs without me in it.

i got will... with that, everything finds its way of coming together.

and thanks, i took the time to post everything i know about the swap just because its still a very misunderstood task, and people tend to overplay its difficulty. i just wanted to show (and prove) that it was no only possible, but relativly easy too.

yes, the 4-cyl is exactly the same... except for the different trannys, flywheels, clutch, and axles.

about the springs... here is my ordeal.. i had a set of euro-spec H&Rs for 4-cyl (yes, intentionally) ordered and only after I installed them did i realize that i ordered the WAGON springs... so it dropped the front perfect but the rear was obviously too stiff and it didnt lower even 1". So my plan is to install a set of intraxes, or if i can source a set of only rear eibachs, id rather do that.
