what did they do????

i asked toyota what they do for tune ups... they said all they do is change timimg belt, spark plugs, fuel filter, full inspection and some other stuff ... i asked if they do like valve clearance checks and they said only if the car is running poorly and it wouldnt be covered in the price of a tune up...

nothings is wrong with my car ... i just wanted to see if i could make it run better, but decided not to do the tune up yet.

well my car is running terrible, it was running fine last fall, i ran 15.8 a the track so it was ok. . . .but recently everything is goin, i just had to get new springs and struts . . .i need new wheel bearings still which are 239 a piece . . .and right now my car isn't even runnin on all 6 cylinders, so i'm guessin a good tune up will take care of that . . .new bosch wires, new bosch plugs, that type of a tune up . . .but see w/ the 3vz you have to take off the intake manifold or something like taht and that is a 3 hour job alone .. . so its expensive, i would like to do it myself, but i dont think i could handle something like that . . . . .anyone ever do they're own tune ups in a 3vz????

the wires for my car are also 90 dollars, thats expensive

oh and when my suspension went i bought spring 1.8 inch drop springs for 140 shipped off ebay . . hte front springs are on now, and working out fairly well actually, i just have to wait to get new struts on the back and hten i'll know if the whole suspension is a nice ride w/ the cheap sprint springs

oh yeah, does anyone know how something like this could happen?? i mean my car not running on all cylinders . . .is it me beating the hell out of it? and racing every import in site w/ my sleeper????

thanx a lot guys

One of my friend's had a problem before where all his cylinder's wouldn't fire up on his 4 cylinder car. His alternator barely generated enough power to run his car. It turns out he had messed with the starting wire which since then wasn't carrying enough of the voltage through to start it, or something weird like that.
