Cool How to build a SUPER CAMRY

there's some problems with my 88 camry but when my brother gets back from the army he's gonna trick it out (it is his car). I'm thinking a $2000 sound system and a new 200hp Camry v6 and new auto trans. I can get that out of another camry but where could I find a turbo and nitrous kit for that engine? I wanna race sports cars and kill them and be like "AHAHAHAH YOU JUST GOT BEAT BY AN 88 CAMRY!!"

I'm going to build the ultimate commuting machine

What is the engine code for the most powerful engine toyota puts in Camrys these days and will it fit in my 88 Camry?

It's a 1MZ-FE, and it won't fit. We really encourage self-motivation on this forum. Please use the flashing search button above and after you feel like you're somewhat competent about the workings of an engine and your knowledge of Camrys is advanced far enough to know even what generation your Camry is, come back and we'll help you.

if you really want a fast car, a stock V6 would be quite heavy...

a 3s-gte would fit in your car, but you do need MONEY...
and an EXPERT to install it, this isnt a weekend in the garage kinda job...

lots of custom work...
but it can be done...
and it has been done...

p.s., forget the sound system, if you want to beat "race cars", you need to be light...

why

dude, whatever you do dont go with the camry v6. they blow ass. the only thing better about the camry v6 is top speed. i have a link somewhere if i can find it that compares the 4 banger and the v6. the 4 cylinder does 0-60 in 9.2, the v6, 9.8. its a fact. i would go with a 3s-gte out of a celica and start from there. just promise me and dont get the v6. peace

Very strong statement, I would like to see your proof for that.

ps: the 3SGTE is heavier than the 1MZFE V6, by a good 30-40lbs.

You are probably all lost in this whole ordeal... those specs you have found are for the Gen2 V6 Camry, and NOT the 2000 Camry V6 with close to 200 HP. So basically, you got OWNED by your own ignorance.
