hey. my name is bruce. i own a 89 yota camry. i love the car. it started to lose coolant through the head. ive been working on it for a week now. i pull the head off and found that number 2 cylinder had about an inch of coolant laying on top of it. i have a tiny little scratch on number 2 cylinder. another terrible thing. number 2 spark plug is seased in the head. i had to have it sent away to get worked on. i am having the head shaved now so he said he would do what he could do. how often are you supposed to change the timing belt on a 3sfe? it has about 50,000 on it now so i think i am goin to go ahead and replace it while it is apart. i am also finding out that the coolant lines on the front of the block are leaking. luckily they have o rings i can replace. i suggest it to all you guys out there with a 2 gen 3sfe to replace those now to save yourself. my headgasket was chewed completely through between 2 and 3 cylinders. thank god i worked on it now. its a job to replace head gaskets and they can ruin your whole engine if you dont do it right. if anybody neeeds help or have questions or anything, let me know, id be glad to help. peace

I know someone on these boards that would do it for you, but i dont know what his price is. He has actually done this to his car, and said it added around 30 hp or so without affecting reliablity. if you were to have someone else do it, you would need to find a machine shop.
