you should test to see if you are getting 12V switched power to the dimmer connector(key in acc position). if you are than the dimmer switch is bad. if not, your problem lies deeper. as for the water in your trunk, my guess would be that you have a bad trunk seal. the seal runs around the inside lip of the trunk and will shrink over time and harden, thus allowing water in. you may also have a bad antenna seal. no big deal because you have a tube that will drain the water under the car; unless the tube is cracked, broken or has come off and is leaking water into your trunk. check that as well. the fuel lines are under the car, not through your trunk.
