Indiglo Reverse Gauge Problem

I bought the reverse indiglo gauges off ebay and installed them this weekend everything went well had them working without a problem.

Until 24 hours later I am just driving and they decide to turn off on me I checked everything I could i hooked them up to my amp power and ground and still can't get them to work checked the fuse no luck.

If anyone knows what I can do to get them to work I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

could be the transformer.. but check the switch.. if they gave you the toggle switch like i got then probably one of the wires came loose.. it did for me and i couldnt' see the green side.. ( reverse guages ) .. and i just put the wire back in its place.. so that could be a start ! thats the most i can think of .. since it happen to me..

I'm definitely the undisputed champion of indiglo problems. I just fixed mine again this past weekend. My indiglos were blinking on and off....

I just redid the ground and power, and it now works fine. Why did you use the amp power and ground? How convenient was that? If anything, try using the cigarette lighter power, or even tapping into the power wire for the instrument cluster. Just pick a bolt behind the cluster for the ground.....

I hooked it up to my amp wiring just to see if it would go on or not quickest way to test it.

But I was doing a search on the forum and I came across the site www.speedhut.com

and i found the new upgraded controller
High Power 2 color inverter upgrade

so I ordered that it should be here by friday or saturday lets see how this does.

i had my gauges go out on me last year... but just the blue option... the green worked fine. found out that one of the wires on the back of the switch got disconnected. i had to solder that biatch back on... it wasn't easy.

you should check all wiring and connections. but i guess it's too late as you already ordered another transformer.

I had that exact issue with my reverse glo gauges. The only thing I did to fix it was make sure all the connections between the gauges were tight. If one of 'em is loose, they all go down. Just take 'em all apart and attach each one to a different connection.

I received the new high power upgrade inverter in yesterday it took about 10 mins to put in and worked perfectly! It seems a lot brighter then the other inverter and also it doesn't hesitate when I change colors now.

I believe so. It was working great for a while then all of a sudden I am receiving a high pitched sound when it is in blue color mode as soon as I change it to green the noise stops.

got a set of reverse gauges and had them installed today. it was working great so me and my friend went out. night came so it was time to show off my gauges in all its glory. worked great for like 20 minutes and in the middle of hte highway, it went out. 20 minutes later i get home after i dropped off my friend and i turned the parking lights on/off (powered it through the instruments power) adn i found taht they weren't off, just very dim.switching between blue and green did nothing and the dimmer switch only made it dimmer. was it smart to leave teh switch all the way at max? did the inverter overheat? if it overheated, should i stick a heatsink on it with some arctic silver epoxy? i'm letting it cool off for now, i mgiht go back and check if i don't fall asleep
