I am going to buy a front and rear sway bar here shortly but I have only seen the WhiteLine Bars in the 17mm range. Is that a good diameter or should and can I get bigger.
I want to get a WhiteLine Font and a TRD Rear.
I just want to ad a little stiffness to my 97 Camry. I have a TRD tower bar and Eibach Springs and KYB GR2 Struts and 17". Any other advice would be great.
Thanks Allot.

OK sweet. I just mainly wanted to know if the thickness is good. I dont know what my stock ones are as far as thickness and I know i still couldnt go wrong.
So the TRD sway bar is adjustable. I want aware of that. Good news then.
Thank you for the info.

To the individual that posted the above messege. From what i have read and what I understand i guess the best thing to buy first as far as sway bars go is the front. It makes the most difference in the stiffness to the front end and better steering and control. The rear sway bar actually makes the rear of the car do just that, "sway" but you still have better control of your car and its worth every penny you spend.
So my advice to you is to buy the Front bar and then the rear if you want that at a later time or both if you have the money.
I just wanted to know if they make different thicknesses and what the best would be.
I also suggest if you dont have a strut bar to get one and better springs and shocks. But i am assuming you have all that, but it doesnt hurt to suggest it.
Hope I could help at all.

check out www.CTMotorsport.com for the White Line F/R sway bar. I believe they are about $109.00 each plus shipping. And TRD makes the rear only and it will run you about $142.00 plus shipping you can check that out at my Boy, Eddie Habecks Toyota Delaership at www.kinderhooktoyota.com
Eddie is a great friend he will help you out.
Take Care

they dont make aftermarket front swaybars for the Gen3's. If you take a look at the stock thickness, you'll know why.
For the back, your choices are Whiteline ($109 usd) or TRD ($145 usd). The TRD one is actually for the 99+ Solara so it requires two swaybar bushing brackets from the dealership which cost like $5 each.

That might apply to a rear wheel drive car bro but not an understeering FWD like a camry. A rear bar would be more beneficial to create neutral handling characteristics as opposed to making the understeering nature even more great by putting on a front bar.

No. the stock ones are extremely thick on the front.
Adjustable swaybar links are always a good idea, especially for lowered vehicles because they allow you to position the swaybar's angle so that it lays as parallel to the ground as possible for better effectiveness.
You are exactly right on what you said in the above posts. I should have been more specific about the front sway for the Gen3. Thanks for making that clear.
And as far as the effectiveness of the sways, I guess I was kinda out of my league. I do know more about Rear Wheel drive cars and i have a hard time distinquishing between them now that I have a Camry. Thanks for clearing everything up.
